If something looks wrong, please include the deal number and the suit count. The same number with the same suit count is the same layout on any phone, so those two are enough to open exactly the board you saw. Both are printed at the top left of the board.
It is, for now. The board itself is ranks and suits, and the rules of Spider are the same everywhere, but the menus, the records screen and the guide are not translated yet.
Because placing ignores suits, three or four columns will often accept the same card. A tap picks one of them: same suit first, then the column with the longest run, empty columns last.
To see the destination before you commit, hold the card for a moment before lifting your finger — the target column lights up. Dragging shows every column that can accept the run, with a brighter border on the one it would land in. If tapping isn't for you, switch it off in Settings.
Placing ignores suits, but lifting does not. To move several cards at once they must run down in a single suit. A run with mixed suits moves one card at a time.
The board tells you how far your hand reaches: cards you cannot lift right now are dimmed.
You cannot deal while any column is empty. That is a rule of Spider — an empty column is the most valuable thing on the board, and the rule stops you from burying it under a stray card. Put a card in the empty column and try again.
Tap the deal number at the top of the board and type another one. The same number with the same suit count always gives the same layout. The "recent wins" list at the bottom of the records screen reopens a deal when you tap it.
Records live only on the device. Deleting the app or switching phones takes them with it. They are not uploaded to a server, because that would mean making you create an account.
The app follows the phone's silent switch — the same setting that keeps it from interrupting someone else's music. There is also a Sound switch in Settings.
It runs, but at iPhone size; this is an iPhone app for now. A layout for larger screens is on the list.
